Whitney Leet is a doctoral student in Nutrition and Health Sciences at Emory University. She has a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Virginia Tech and a Master of Science in Nutrition and Health from Georgia State University. She is also a Registered Dietitian.

Whitney’s primary research interest is in epigenetics of diabetes and obesity. She hopes to investigate epigenetic changes that may occur following a lifestyle intervention in prediabetes populations. Prior to starting at Emory, she worked at the International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI) Research Foundation in nutritional research activities and at The Coca-Cola Company in Scientific and Regulatory Affairs.
