Biography


Yara Beyh is a doctoral student in Nutrition and Health Sciences at Emory University. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and a Master of Science in Nutrition, both from the American University of Beirut (AUB), Lebanon. She is also a Licensed Dietitian.

Yara’s main research interest is in epigenetics of diabetes and pregnancy outcomes. She hopes to investigate the role of epigenetic changes in the development of Type 2 Diabetes in the offspring of women across different weight categories. Before joining Emory, Yara worked as a research assistant at AUB, in health economics as well as micronutrients deficiencies; she also was an instructor at the Lebanese University, Faculty of Public Health. Finally, she is an ad-hoc reviewer in two journals (QURE and JPRO).
