Nida I. Shaikh is an epidemiologist and Registered Dietitian who received her PhD in Nutrition and Health Sciences from Emory University in 2016, her first MS in Dietetics from University of Pune, India in 2009, her second MS in Nutrition from Georgia State University in 2010, and her BSc in Foods and Nutrition from S.N.D.T. Womens’ University, Mumbai, India in 2007. Her research is focused on understanding the relationship between nutrition, chronic diseases, and mental health and in developing dietary assessment instruments to assess shifts in dietary patterns following globalization. Nida is also the past recipient of two NIH Fogarty Global Health Fellowships - in 2013 and 2016. She is a post doctoral fellow with Emory Global Diabetes Research Center at the Rollins School of Public Health.
