Biography


Joyce Ho is an assistant professor in Computer Science at Emory University. She has a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and an M.A. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her research involves the development of novel data mining and machine learning algorithms to address problems in healthcare. Joyce has published papers in premier journals and conferences including KDD, AISTATS, and TMIS. Her work received the best paper award at the 2017 AMIA Joint Summits on Translational Science. Joyce has served on numerous program committees for top healthcare informatics conferences and is a conference co-chair for the 2017 CIKM short paper track. She has also co-founded a successful healthcare data analytics company, Accordion Health.
