Biography


Dr. Sonya Haw joined the faculty at Emory University in 2014 in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Lipids. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota in 2012, followed by a fellowship in Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Lipids at Emory University in 2014.

Currently, Dr. Haw is based at Grady Memorial Hospital, where she provides clinical care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She is the co-founder and Medical Director of the Gender Center at Grady Hospital and serves as the Endocrinology Fellowship Program Director. Dr. Haw is dedicated to promoting health equity through research and medical education. Her research interests focus on disparities in diabetes outcomes and gender-affirming care.
