Biography


Dr. Idrees is an Assistant Professor of Endocrinology at Emory University in Atlanta who was trained at the University of Chicago School of Medicine . His passion in endocrinology concentrates primarily on having the best interaction with his patients and be always approachable and a good listener.  He witnessed the intellectual singularity of this discipline, and the essential role its research will surely play in shaping the future.

Dr. Idrees goal is to gain expertise in the management of diabetes in older adults with the ability to integrate technology in geriatric population care. Coupling technology with medicine has been always his passion, recognizing the huge impact of the new innovations on managing DM.

In addition, Dr. Idrees has both clinical and research experience in Thyroidiology and thyroid cancer and continues to have growing eagerness and curiosity about the emerging research in thyroid cancer. He currently runs a Thyroid Cancer Clinic at Grady Memorial Hospital and moderate a monthly thyroid tumor board discussion as well.
