Kara Suvada, MPH
Biography
Kara Suvada is a PhD candidate in the Department of Epidemiology at the Rollins School of Public Health. Her interests lie at the intersection of cardiometabolic diseases, physical activity, mental health, and coordinated care, all within both U.S. and global contexts. She has an MPH from Emory University (Epidemiology) and has worked at RTI International, CDC, and IQVIA. Currently, she is also a fellow at U.S. Health & Human Services where she works on questions related to Long COVID and the public health supply chain.
At Emory, she works on research related to understanding psychological and physiological stress and its relationships to physical (in)activtiy among younger women and men (< 60 years) with first heart attack, in addition to research about the integration of noncommunicable disease services for people with HIV in Kenya, gestational diabetes burden and follow-up care for U.S. women, and the application of artificial intelligence for systematic literature reviews.
