Michael Johns

Biography

Dr. Michael Johns is the Michael Johns Professor of Health Policy and Management, jointly appointed in the Schools of Medicine and Public Health at Emory University. He is also Emeritus Executive Vice President for Health Affairs at Emory University and Emeritus President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of Emory Healthcare. An internationally recognized leader in academic medicine and health policy, as well as a head and neck cancer surgeon, Dr. Johns has made significant contributions to these fields.

Before joining Emory, Dr. Johns served as Vice President of the Medical Faculty and Dean of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and as interim Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs at the University of Michigan. His extensive career in healthcare leadership has established him as a prominent figure in health policy and academic medicine.
