Biography


Jeff Mills, BSBM, serves as the Program Director for the Georgia Center for Diabetes Translation Research (GCDTR) and has oversight responsibility for GCDTR’s activities. One of seven NIH-funded Center’s for Diabetes Translation Research; GCDTR is a joint effort led by Emory University, Morehouse School of Medicine, and the Georgia Institute of Technology that focuses on domestic diabetes research and the development of junior investigators.

Mills pushes the center’s mission forward with the overarching theme of advancing health equity through science regarding the reach, effectiveness, adoption, and sustainability of technological, behavioral, pharmacological diabetes prevention and management advances.

Prior to joining the Emory Global Diabetes Research Center, Jeff provided oversight and guidance for a multi-million-dollar pilot project program at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Western Governors University.
