Biography


Dr. Maya Fayfman received her medical training at Boston University School of Medicine, completed her Internal Medicine residency at Tufts Medical Center, and pursued fellowship training in Endocrinology and Metabolism at Emory University. Currently, she holds a position as an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Emory University School of Medicine and serves as the Co-Director of the Grady Diabetes Center. She engages in diabetes research at Grady and Emory. Her research focuses on pragmatic study design and implementation science in diabetes management, particularly in diabetic foot care. She is actively involved in various professional committees and has ongoing studies funded by the NIH, foundation, and industry partners.
